Pada kedua alam ini kita sama berhadapan dengan Allah, Pencipta kita, Pemberi dan pencabut nyawa kita, dan penerima pertanggungjawaban kita semasa di dunia. Sudahkah di dunia ini kita benar-benar melakukan tugas ibadah yang wajib dilakasanakan sesuai dengan yang diperintahkan Allah, atau di dunia ini kita banyak lupa sehingga lama kelamaan menjadi benar-benar menjadi yang dimurka Allah, atau memang nyata-nyata kita maunya sendiri yang tidak melakukan apapun yang diperintahkan Allah Swt.
Dunia ini sebanarnya adalah ladang pengabdian untuk memetik buahnya kini dan nanti. Sekarang ini, semasa kita hidup di dunia, kita bersesempatan banyak melakukan banyak hal; sejak ibadah salat yang wajib dan sunnah, mencari ma’isyah untuk mencukupi segala apa kebutuhan kita yang jika dilakukan dengan benar juga ibadah, menolong sesama insan atas dasar kebajikan dan taqwa akhirnya merupakan ibadah kita di hadap an Allah. Jadi, banyak amal-amal yang dapat dilakukan kini untuk diperoleh solusinya sekarang dan yang akan datang.
Jika saja untuk semua ini ketaatan kita kepada Allah bersifat total maka banyak hal akan dapat kita raih karena diridhai oleh Allah Swt. Ketaatan total, tentu taat kita mencakup ketaatan hati, ketaatan tubuh, serta ketaatan akal kita, yang dengan itu menjadikan diri kita mulia di hadapan manusia dan dihadapan Allah. Namun, jika ketaatan kita kepada Allah tidak total maka tentu itupun masih dipertanyakan dan mesti dipertanggungjawab kan ke hadapan Allah Swt.
Dan jika ketaatan kita kepada Allah Swt yang mestinya total, lantas yang kita lakukan dalam taat tidak total maka kepada siapa sebenarnya kita itu mesti taat. Tentu kepada makhluk. Akan tetapi kalau ketaatannya kepada makhluk, padahal itu mestinya untuk dipertanggungjawabkan kepada Allah, dapatlah makhluk yang kita taati itu benar-benar bertanggungjawab atas nama kita kepada Allah padahal Allah tidak dapat digantikan posisinya terutama dalam hal ibadah?
Di dunia ini, ya di sinilah kita berpeluang merenung ulang. Merenungkan diri kita sendiri, masih adakah titik-titik sinar dalam hati kita untuk segera kembali kepada-Nya. Ya kembali kepada Allah. Merevisi banyak hal yang ada pada kita untuk kebajikan kita kini, dan bagi harapan kita dalam kehidupan nanti, yang masanya sangat terbentang luas dalam masa yang sangat lama, yang tak ada seorangpun yang sanggup menghitungnya. Sekalipun ada yang coba menghitungnya, bahwa masa itu — konon menurut “fisikawan” satu milyar tahun, namun benarkah perhitungan itu, dan bagaimana cara mencari tahu menghitungnya sehingga dia bisa mengira-ngira sampai sejauh itu.
Jangan-jangan hitungan itu, untuk menunjukkan bahwa itu perkiraan yang bermakna tidak ada manusia yang sanggup menghitung hari bagi kehidupan kita di negeri akhirat.

Mari: kita hargai saja hari-hari kita — saat ini, dan saat-saat setiap sekarang, dan yang kita hadapi besok hari di detik-detik waktu kita — untuk selalu ingat Allah. Untuk kita tidak lupa-lupa lagi kepada tugas kita sebelum diminta pertanggungjawabkan kepada-Nya. Kita belum terlambat.

Tegasnya, mari senantiasa dihidup-hidupkan keyakinan dan ibadah kita kepada Allah Swt setiap hari. Yang terasa kemaren kendor, mari persegar dan persegar terus dalam hari-hari kita.
