Mencipta Karya Melalui Tulisan
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim
Manusia diberi kehidupan di dunia ini (umur) oleh Allah SWT sangat terbatas. Manusia hanya memiliki rata-rata harapan hidup 50-80 tahun. Hal tersebut bergantung pada pola hidup dan lingkungan sekitar tempat tinggal (sumber: http://health.liputan6.com/read/ 618893/20-negara-yang-sebagian-besar-umur-penduduknya-panjang). Akan tetapi pada dasarnya dengan umur terbatas tersebut, manusia dapat memperpanjang “umur” dengan membuat karya hingga anak cucu kita masih dapat mengenal nama kita dengan karya-karya kita. Salah satu karya yang akan saya bahas pada artikel ini adalah menulis.
Menulis merupakan suatu hal yang sebenarnya mudah dilakukan oleh kita setiap hari, karena pada dasarnya telah diajarkan semenjak balita hingga saat ini. Akan tetapi terasa sangat susah dilakukan karena sering otak dan hati kurang selaras untuk memulainya. Menulis memiliki banyak manfaat, tetapi pada artikel ini saya akan membahasnya hanya menjadi tiga bagian (yang disampaikan di ulang tahun web yang pertama ini),yakni:
1. Instrumen perekam jejak sejarah
Seperti yang telah saya jabarkan di atas, dengan menulis akan tercipta sebuah karya sehingga generasi yang akan datang dapat mengerti dan dapat mengolah kembali tentang hal-hal yang telah kita tulis tersebut. Sebagai salah seorang calon engineer saya akan mengutarakan beberapa kelemahan bangsa indonesia ini yakni budaya menulis (mendokumentasikan segala hal yang telah dilakukan). Banyak karya yang telah dibuat oleh para insyinyur indonesia (contohnya:bangunan dan jembatan), akan tetapi ketika karya tersebut akan direnovasi guna peningkatan mutu, banyak hal yang harus diulangi (tidak mengetahui konfigurasi bangungan, konfigurasi desain sistem listrik yang digunakan bangunan, dll). Hal tersebut terjadi karena tidak adanya dokumentasi dari desainer awalnya.
2. Mencegah kepikunan
Kata-kata yang sangat inspiratif yakni berasal dari Prof.Dr. Ir. B.J. Habibie yakni untuk mengatasi kepikunan beliau, beliau menggunakan terapi menulis. Jika kita masih mencermati beliau hingga sekarang, otak beliau masih encer dan masih inspiratif.
3. Sarana mengutarakan pendapat yang lebih efektif
Pada zaman orde baru para penguasa lebih takut jika mendapatkan kritik melalui sastra salah satunya adalah tulisan. Karena jika tulisan dikemas dengan bahasa yang menarik dan ungkapan-ungkapan yang tepat maka akan lebih bermakna dibandingkan ucapan. Salah satu tokoh reformasi yang saya kagumi adalah Iwan Fals, beliau menciptakan karya-karya yang dikemas dalam bentuk lagu yang mana lagu tersebut merupakan pendapatnya terhadap pemerintahan orde baru.
Seiring berlangsungnya zaman, teknologi berkembang dengan sangat pesat, salah satunya adalah internet (lebih populer dengan dunia maya). Dengan berkembangnya teknologi tersebut, maka sebagai penulis maupun calon penulis kita juga harus mengikuti zaman dengan memulai menulis di “dunia maya” karena menurut saya menulis di “dunia maya” lebih efektif untuk diketahui oleh orang lain dibandingkan jika hanya menulis di kertas. Pada 2014 ini, jumlah pengguna masih di angka 2,5 milliar penduduk (sumber: http://popularnow.wordpress.com/2014/01/11/statistik-pengguna-internet-di-dunia-dan-indonesia/). Jumlah penduduk bumi pada 2014 kurang lebih 7 milliar penduduk sedangkan alat-alat yang menghubungkan ke dunia maya tersebut (komputer, HP, gadget, laptop,dll) berkisar di angka 5 milliar. Itu artinya 70% penduduk di bumi pada saat ini berpotensi terhubung dengan dunia maya.
Adapun kelebihan dan kekurangan jika menulis di internet antara lain:
Kelebihan :
– Mudah mencari teman dari berbagai negara.
– Mudah saling berbagi informasi.
– Mempermudah orang untuk mencari informasi tentang karya kita lebih aktual.
– Sarana untuk dakwah/mempengaruhi orang skala makro lebih efisien dan cepat.
Kekurangan :
– Penyalahgunaan hak cipta karya kita lebih bebas karena kemudahan fitur internet.
– Untuk menyebarkan informasi skala mikro kurang bagus.
Dengan adanya data di atas sudah selayaknya kita mulai mempertimbangkan untuk menulis di internet karena pada era mendatang karakteristik manusia mungkin mulai berubah drastis (lebih menyukai interaksi di “dunia maya” dibandingkan “dunia nyata”).
